Greetings from Father Everett

I, along with Father Anthony and the staff, hope you and your family are safe and doing well during these difficult times.

Although we are not able to gather as a community, I know that each of you will continue to praise God through personal prayer and times of reflection. Remember that we are asked to distance physically, but we will always be joined by the faith we share. There are resources online at adw.org/coronovirus which include a link to parishes streaming Mass and a guide to Spiritual Communion. Please remember that a dispensation by the Archbishop has been given to free you from the obligation of Sunday Mass.

I ask, if your situation permits, that you continue giving to our church. Our expenses are still present and we need your help. If you have not signed up for Online Giving (givining.parishsoft.com/mtcalvary), we encourage you to do so. If you don't have an Internet connection, we are still accepting offerings by mail. Please know that every little bit counts.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our parish. We, as a community and with the help of our Lord, will emerge from this challenge stronger and with a deeper faith. May God continue to bless you all.

FlockNote - Welcome Back!

Welcome Back, Family!

As places of worship begin to reopen, we here at Mount Calvary Catholic Church have begun to implement various changes that are in compliance with the Center for Disease Control and the Archdiocese of Washington.  We pray these changes will ensure that our worship environment is safe for all parishioners.

Here is what you can expect upon your return:
  • Everyone will be required to wear a mask
  • Everyone will be issued a contact tracing form to complete
  • Hand sanitizer will be used upon entering the church and before receiving communion
  • There will be one line during communion
  • To avoid exposure, please join in at the end of the communion line if your preference is to receive communion on your tongue
  • Seating will be available depending on participants: individual/couples (the two center rows), 3+ people (side rows far left and far right)
  • Social distancing will be followed (6 foot decals are throughout the church)
Please remember that these measures have been put in place for you and the other parishioners who will be attending Mass.  Our safety mostly depends on each other. What you do or don't do can greatly impact everyone.

Peace and Blessings,
Father Everett Pearson, Pastor
Wanda Wilson, Chairperson, Parish Pastoral Council
