FlockNote - Happy Easter

April 16, 2020

Although this Easter season may not be filled with the glorious gatherings, delicious brunches, and family Easter egg hunt we're accustomed to, Jesus Christ has still conquered the grave, and no virus, cancellations, or any circumstance can change that.

Let us rejoice in this most important day! Try to find joy in the small blessings-the sunshine and blooming flowers-and also in the hope we have knowing our savior has conquered death.

Let us continue to pray for those suffering from the coronavirus and their families. Let us also keep in prayer health care workers, first responders and all continuing to provide services to us. Our church is praying for you, and we look forward to gathering together again soon!

"He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said." -Matthew 28:6

Greetings from Father Everett

I, along with Father Anthony and the staff, hope you and your family are safe and doing well during these difficult times.

Although we are not able to gather as a community, I know that each of you will continue to praise God through personal prayer and times of reflection. Remember that we are asked to distance physically, but we will always be joined by the faith we share. There are resources online at adw.org/coronovirus which include a link to parishes streaming Mass and a guide to Spiritual Communion. Please remember that a dispensation by the Archbishop has been given to free you from the obligation of Sunday Mass.

I ask, if your situation permits, that you continue giving to our church. Our expenses are still present and we need your help. If you have not signed up for Online Giving (givining.parishsoft.com/mtcalvary), we encourage you to do so. If you don't have an Internet connection, we are still accepting offerings by mail. Please know that every little bit counts.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our parish. We, as a community and with the help of our Lord, will emerge from this challenge stronger and with a deeper faith. May God continue to bless you all.
