Rev. Everett PearsonPastor
Father Everett Pearson was educated in the Catholic school system attending Nativity School in NW, Washington, DC, and Archbishop Carroll High School in NE, Washington, DC, class of 1978. Father Everett has always had a sense of ministry even from as young as 6 years old. Working with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), coaching basketball, and working with the Boy Scouts of America, Fr. Pearson's vocational calling only became stronger.
Deciding to act on his dreams at the behest of then Msgr. William G. Curlin, now Bishop William Curlin, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Charlotte, Fr. Everett began his seminary studies at Borromeo Seminary College in Wickliffe, OH in 1984. Fr. Everett graduated Cum Laude in 1987 and was offered the opportunity to study at the North America College, the American Bishops Seminary in Rome, by Archbishop James Hickey.
Rome became the experience of a lifetime; the travel, Europe, history, the Church Universal, etc.! For four years, Fr. Pearson experienced a world he never knew, a world he could not have imagined and a world he would never forget! Fr. Everett obtained his S.T.B. degree in Sacred Theology from the Angelicum University graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 1994-1995, Fr. Everett returned to Rome, residing at the Casa Santa Maria, the American Bishops Graduate House of Studies in Rome, to complete his S.T.L. degree in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University.
On Sunday, November 17, 1991, on the Feast of Christ the King, Fr. Pearson was ordained to the priesthood by James Cardinal Hickey in St. Matthew Cathedral, Washington, DC. Fr. Pearson has served in many parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Washington:
